Masayoshi Son is the founder and chief executive officer of SoftBank, a multinational telecommunications and internet company started in 1981. Son is the second richest man in Japan and worth 17 billion US dollars according to Forbes magazine.

Son made his first million dollars through a pocket translator he patented and sold to Sharp, after cold-calling a wide range of corporations. What is more impressive, he achieved this feat while juggling his studies at Berkley University.
